The Crisis (working title). (2010-2011) Using the 100th anniversary of the NAACP journal The Crisis in 2010 as a point of entry, I'm organizing a collaborative curatorial project in three parts: (1) a book club and think tank created with artist Jamal Cyrus, (2) an exhibition in the form of a community resource room featuring copies of The Crisis and other periodicals independently published by communities of color, and (3) a new publishing project featuring newly-commissioned book-length literary works by conceptual artists. With the support of Project Row Houses.
